Amazon Now has launched a new marketing campaign highlighting the additional charges commonly associated with quick commerce platforms. Conceptualised by independent creative agency Social Panga, the campaign introduces the 'Museum of Unnecessary Charges', an on-ground activation designed to spark conversations around checkout fees.

The two-day pop-up installation transforms charges such as handling fees, rain fees, convenience fees, surge pricing, and small cart fees into museum-style exhibits, presenting them as relics of the past. The campaign aligns with Amazon Now's proposition of offering deliveries without these additional charges.

Supporting the activation is a digital film featuring comedian Biswa Kalyan Rath, who takes viewers through the museum while using satire to comment on the various fees displayed throughout the installation.

According to Gaurav Arora, Co-founder of Social Panga, the idea was inspired by a simple consumer insight and evolved into a campaign that could extend across on-ground experiences, digital storytelling, and social conversations while remaining rooted in Amazon Now's core proposition.

Soumabha Nandi, Executive Vice President – Creative and Strategy at Social Panga, said satire was chosen as the creative approach because it encourages audiences to reflect on everyday experiences through humour. He added that the concept of a real museum helped transform the campaign from a visual metaphor into an interactive consumer experience.

The campaign is being rolled out across digital and on-ground platforms, using the museum installation and campaign film to reinforce Amazon Now's messaging around transparent pricing and the absence of additional checkout charges.
