Kwality Wall’s (India) Limited has launched a new range of in-home ice cream tubs and party packs, placing milk at the core of its latest product strategy. Available in 500 ml and 700 ml packs, the new range is priced between Rs.105 and Rs.339 and features a variety of classic, regional, and premium flavours including Hawaiian Sundae and Kesar Bhog. The products will be available across retail outlets and quick commerce platforms.
The launch marks a notable shift in the company’s portfolio positioning, especially as a large share of Kwality Wall’s existing offerings falls under the “frozen dessert” category as defined by FSSAI. Unlike traditional ice cream, frozen desserts use vegetable oil instead of milk fat. The distinction between ice cream and frozen dessert has long been debated within the Indian dairy and dessert industry.
Kwality Wall’s has also rolled out a new print campaign to support the launch, highlighting indulgence and milk-rich ingredients as key differentiators for the new range.
Commenting on the launch, Chitrank Goel, Deputy Managing Director, Kwality Wall’s (India) Limited, stated that the company aims to combine global expertise with local consumer preferences to drive innovation, premiumisation, and category growth in India’s ice cream market.
The launch also aligns with the rapid growth of India’s in-home ice cream consumption segment, supported by the expansion of quick commerce platforms and changing consumer buying habits.
