fter more than a century, Spanish olive oil brand Figaro has unveiled its first-ever global packaging refresh, with India playing a key role in shaping the redesign. The updated look introduces cleaner visuals, easier-to-use packaging, and Hindi text on select packs to better connect with consumers in the brand's largest global market.

The refreshed packaging retains Figaro's iconic green tin and recognizable logo while adopting a more minimal design that highlights the product itself. The company has also introduced a convenient plastic bottle format, offering consumers a more user-friendly alternative to the traditional tin packaging.

According to Deoleo, Figaro's parent company, extensive consumer research across India revealed that shoppers strongly associate the brand with its distinctive green packaging and long-standing trust. The addition of Hindi text is aimed at strengthening its appeal in North India, where the brand enjoys a particularly loyal customer base.

India has emerged as Figaro's biggest global market, supported by rising health awareness, increasing premiumisation, and the rapid growth of quick commerce. The company currently leads India's olive oil segment with an estimated 40% market share and expects the category to continue expanding as more consumers shift toward healthier cooking choices.

To support the brand refresh, Figaro has also launched a new campaign featuring comedian Sunil Grover, chosen for his versatility rather than as a traditional brand ambassador. The campaign reinforces the multiple uses of olive oil across cooking, skincare, and haircare.

With evolving consumer preferences, stronger digital commerce, and growing demand for premium food products, Figaro's latest rebranding reflects how global brands are adapting to India's changing lifestyle and purchasing habits.
