Gap Brings Music, Style and Self-Expression Together in New Denim Campaign

Gap has unveiled its Fall 2026 campaign, ‘Denim on Your Own’, putting a fresh, music-led spin on its iconic denim offering. Featuring musician Malcolm Todd and actor Inde Navarrette, the campaign celebrates individuality, personal style and the freedom to make fashion your own.

At the heart of the campaign is Todd’s fresh reinterpretation of Robyn’s iconic track ‘Dancing on My Own’. Rather than simply recreating the original, Todd brings his own musical identity to the song, mirroring the campaign’s central idea: taking something familiar and making it uniquely yours.

The campaign film follows Todd and Navarrette through a series of visually dynamic settings, showcasing their distinct personalities and approaches to style. Through movement, music and fashion, the film positions GapDenim as a canvas for self-expression rather than simply a wardrobe essential.

Denim Meets Music and Culture

With music playing a central role in Gap’s brand storytelling, the campaign continues the brand’s long-standing connection with artists, culture and youth expression. By collaborating with emerging creative voices, Gap is looking to build a stronger cultural identity while keeping its classic fashion heritage relevant to a new generation.

The campaign was directed by Tanu Muiño, with creative direction led by Calvin Leung, Head of Gap Brand Creative. Fashion and image direction came from Alastair McKimm, with photography by Bjorn Loos.

Making Style Personal

The campaign’s message extends beyond denim. ‘Denim on Your Own’ encourages consumers to embrace their individuality and find styles that reflect who they are.

Malcolm Todd’s involvement reinforces this idea, with his reinterpretation of the well-known track reflecting the creative freedom at the centre of the campaign. Inde Navarrette similarly brings a sense of spontaneity and personal expression to the film, helping create a campaign that feels energetic and contemporary.

GapDenim’s Fall 2026 Collection

The campaign also introduces GapDenim’s Fall 2026 collection, featuring new washes, utility-inspired colourways and refreshed silhouettes.

Key additions include the Mid-Rise Straight Taper Jean and ‘90s Loose Jean, combining contemporary fits with Gap’s established denim aesthetic.

With ‘Denim on Your Own’, Gap brings together fashion, music and culture to deliver a campaign built around one simple idea: there is no single way to wear denim your style is your own.
