Uber continues its mission to make mobility magical by launching Uber Shikara, a limited-period service that allows tourists to pre-book scenic Shikara rides on Dal Lake, Srinagar, through the Uber app. This initiative enhances tourism while creating economic opportunities for local Shikara drivers.

The Uber Shikara service blends modern convenience with the timeless charm of Dal Lake. Using Uber Reserve, travelers can pre-book their rides up to 15 days in advance and as close as 12 hours prior. Each one-hour ride accommodates up to four passengers, ensuring an intimate experience for families and friends.

For the first time in Dal Lake’s history, Uber is introducing trip insurance for all Shikara rides, offering travelers peace of mind while enjoying the serene beauty of Kashmir.

How to Book an Uber Shikara Ride
Update to the latest version of the Uber app (App Store/Google Play).
Open the app and enter ‘Shikara Ghat No. 16’ in the ‘Where to’ bar.
Select Uber Shikara and choose your preferred time (available from 10 AM to 5 PM).
Confirm the pickup location at Ghat 16 and click “Book” to reserve your ride.
