Mumbai, July 27, 2026: Prime Video has announced that the second season of its hit reality Original series, The Traitors, will premiere globally on August 13, 2026. Hosted by Karan Johar, the new season promises even more suspense, strategy and psychological drama as 21 celebrity contestants compete in a high-stakes game of trust, betrayal and deception.
Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment in collaboration with All3Media International, the Indian adaptation is based on the internationally acclaimed BAFTA and Emmy Award-winning reality format. Following the success of its debut season, The Traitors returns with bigger challenges, heightened gameplay and unexpected twists designed to keep audiences guessing until the very end.
The series has become one of the fastest-growing reality formats worldwide, with adaptations across more than 40 countries. Building on the momentum of its successful first season, the upcoming edition aims to deliver an even more immersive experience through its signature blend of psychological strategy, emotional drama and intense competition.
Commenting on the announcement, Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals, Prime Video India, said the overwhelming response to the inaugural season transformed The Traitors into one of Prime Video India's defining reality franchises. He added that the new season raises the stakes with sharper gameplay, greater drama and an exciting new line-up of celebrity participants, while welcoming Karan Johar back as the show's host.

The Traitors Season 2 will stream exclusively on Prime Video from August 13, with new episodes releasing every Thursday.
