Crompton is entering a new phase with “Crompton 2.0”, unveiling a refreshed brand identity, new tagline and a premium product platform aimed at redefining its position in Indian homes.

At the centre of the transformation is “Cephyr”, Crompton’s new visual emblem, alongside the tagline “Amazing, Every Day.” The company has also introduced a new jingle and its premium sub-brand Crompton Rhion.

From electricals to premium innovation

Crompton Rhion’s first product is Biofier, a premium water purifier priced at ₹42,000. The company claims its patented technology retains essential minerals while generating around half the wastewater associated with conventional RO filtration.

The choice of water purification reflects Crompton’s focus on sustainability, innovation and consumer trust, particularly in a category where water wastage remains a concern.

Targeting the premium consumer

Rather than defining its audience purely by geography, Crompton is positioning Biofier toward consumers seeking refined living, design and advanced product performance.

The product will initially launch in Tamil Nadu, followed by a rollout across southern states before a potential pan-India expansion.

Bigger investment behind the transformation

Crompton says it has invested over ₹200 crore in R&D over the past two years, while its marketing investment is also increasing. Around 3–3.5% of annual revenue is currently allocated to its media mix.

The company's new brand manifesto, created with BBDO and advertising veteran Josy Paul, focuses on making everyday products feel more effortless and meaningful.

Digital-first brand rollout

The new identity will be rolled out across products, packaging, retail outlets, digital platforms and consumer communications.

The manifesto film, created entirely using AI, is set to appear across platforms including LinkedIn and Instagram, along with print advertising.

The bigger takeaway

Crompton’s revamp is more than a visual makeover. Crompton 2.0 is positioning the company around innovation, premiumisation, sustainability and a more contemporary consumer proposition.

The launch of Biofier could be the first step in Crompton’s broader ambition to move beyond its traditional electrical-appliance identity and build a more premium lifestyle-focused brand.
