The World Pickleball League Kicks Off with 48 Players and Six Franchises
The much-awaited World Pickleball League (WPBL) is all set to begin on January 24, featuring 48 talented players from India and across the globe. With six franchises competing, the tournament promises high-energy matches and a blend of sports and entertainment like never before.
Bengaluru Jawans: A New Powerhouse in Pickleball
Adding to the excitement, renowned filmmaker Atlee and Priya Atlee have stepped into the world of sports ownership by acquiring the Bengaluru franchise in the WPBL. Their team has been named the Bengaluru Jawans, a squad expected to make waves in the tournament.
The team boasts a stellar lineup, including India’s very own Vrushali Thakare, famously known as Hammer Thakare. She will be joined by international stars Jack Foster, Katerina Stewart, Trang Hyunh McClain, Marcelo Jardim, Alejandra Bobaria, Felix Grunert, and Mauro Garcia.
Atlee & Priya Atlee: Merging Cinema with Sports
Expressing their excitement about their new journey in sports, Atlee and Priya shared:
